Scarf with a twist
The twist is in the rib which has a simple little cable!

This scarf is knitted with needles size 7-8mm /us 11
The wool is Viking Balder -super machine washable.
My colour is 421 -Norwegian summer
I bought 2 hanks and that will be how long the scarf is!

Cast on 18 sts.
Row 1: All knit (garter st)
Row 2: All knit (garter st)

Row 3: k2 { p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2} k2.
Row 4: k2 { k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2} k2.
Row 5: k2 { p2, cable2, p2, cable2, p2, cable2, p2} k2

Row 6: k2 { k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2} k2.

Repeat row3-6 for the whole scarf.
Finish with an all knit row and then cast off with a knit row.

So you will find a garter stitch edge at the sides and the two ends.
I suggest you google cable knit if you are new to cabling, but this 2 stitch cable is really easy and you hardly need a cable needle to do it. It will also look good without a cable - so try that if cabling is too bothersome.
It is knitting up really quickly. Just keep checking back to make sure you don't forget any cables or to do the garter stitch edge.
